Digitalization of Supply Chain in Swedish Additive Manufacturing (DiSAM)

The purpose of the DiSAM research project is to strengthen the competitiveness of Swedish manufacturing industry by both increasing production flexibility and reducing the time for market introduction.

By combining the digital and physical value chain in additive manufacturing (AM) for industrial production and product development of components, both metals and plastics. The project will create a strong platform on which other techniques and materials can be easily integrated for connecting digital solutions to the physical production chain.

By studying the entire value chain and linking it to a developed digital platform to ensure high product quality, vulnerability and sustainability.

In the multidisciplinary research project DiSAM, the two research environments Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Learning research (CIEL) and The Rydberg Laboratory for Applied Sciences (RLAS) collaborate with University West, Chalmers and around 20 partners around Sweden. Swerea IVF AB is the project's project owner.
