Administrative departments
The administrative departments are supportive and service-providing bodies for the University as a whole, administering collective and overarching questions. The central administration is headed by the University Director/Registrar who is responsible for the organisation of the administration and finance in addition to follow-up procedures and quality assurance. The University Director/Registrar reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor. IT Department
The IT Department is responsible for all service relating to computers, such as procurement, maintenance and service of both hard- and software. Each school, department or unit has its own contact within the IT Department. Finance Department
The main task of the Finance Department is the administration and accounting of faculty appropriation and external funding in accordance with the relevant guidelines and ordinances. This includes financial management, budget control, internal and external auditing, end of financial year balancing of the books and reporting. Information Department
The department is responsible for information dissemination to the University as a whole together with marketing, internal information and student recruitment issues. The department also has responsibility for the structure of the website, guidelines for website content and the University's graphic profile. International Department
The International Department is responsible for the signing of agreements with foreign universities and other institutions of higher education, information about studies abroad and exchange students both travelling to and coming from foreign universities. Chancellery
The Chancellery is responsible for direct and close proximity support to the University's senior management, board of governors and committees, together with providing support and service to the Vice-Chancellor and the University board. The Chancellery also provides support relating to documentation and operational management at the University, support to the Education Committee and Research Boards and administrative assistance for work with equal opportunities and diversity as well as environmental issues. Personnel Department
The Department is responsible for staff recruitment and introduction, for certain types of in-service training, for the administration of salaries (including travelling allowances) and for pension applications. The department also administers questions relating to labour laws, work environment, labour market, equal opportunities as well as other staff administration areas. Student Affairs Department
The student Affairs Department is responsible for student counselling and careers advice, information on courses and degree programmes, the Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test, admissions to the University, study administration, examination questions, issuing degree certificate and follow-up. Student Health and Welfare Centre
The Student Health and Welfare Centre is responsible for ensuring that the University's students have access to preventative health and nursing care, for the establishment and maintenance of local community networks involving police, fire brigade, psychologists and other collaborative partners and for the University's emergency organisation in conjunction with the Vice-Chancellor and others in the Crisis Management Group. Technical and Estate Management Department
The department is responsible for managing the University reception, cleaning and maintenance of the premises, the Caretakers' office, all procurements and agreements, the telephony, as well as security issues. The department is also responsible for the University's physical environment. Through continuous development they create a high-standard Campus that meet all the demands and facilitate meetings between people in a beautiful, harmonious and functional environment.
