The business of the University is to pursue degree programme and course teaching and research as well as entering into cooperative outreach ventures involving the surrounding community. The quality of the University´s work is measured in its ability to satisfy and preferably exceed the demands, needs and expectations of interested parties. The interested parties include for example students, commissioners of external tasks and employees to whom we seek to raise the value and satisfaction gained from the work of the University.
The University´s quality assurance policy describes the guidelines for the pursuit of quality assurance work in order to attain a high level of quality in daily business as well as realizing the University´s mission statement. The quality assurance system consists of a number of separate quality systems which together contribute to a collective whole. These components are:
The Vice-chancellor and the University board have the responsibility for the overarching quality assurance system for the University as a whole. A quality assurance council has also been set up to act as an advisory body reporting to the Vice-chancellor.
