Admission rounds
Citizens of non-EU/EEA countries have to apply for courses or programmes with an application deadline of 15 January for entry the following autumn semester and 15 August for entry the following spring semester. An applicant, who is a citizen of non-EU/EEA countries and who applies for a programme or course at Halmstad University in the late admission round (application deadline of 15 April for autumn term and 15 October for spring term), shall through written documentation confirm one of the following:
- Citizenship in an EU/EEA country (e.g. copy of passport)
- Granted residence permit/VISA in Sweden for the first term of the programme or course applied for.
- Other factors which demonstrate that the applicant will have a residence permit or has the right, from another reason, to stay in Sweden during the first term of the programme or course applied for.
Before you apply:
First of all you should try to get acquainted with the Swedish academic system and the programmes/courses available to international students here at Halmstad University, to make sure you will get the most out of your studies here.- Pay strict attention to the specific requirements for each course/program, to ensure that you have the correct academic background for that specific course/program.
- Make a note of the deadlines for application -a late application may be deleted.
- Make sure that you apply for a sufficient number of credits, to be eligible for a residence permit (unless you are looking for distance learning courses).
