Student Counselling

In accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance (chapter 6 paragraph 3) students have the right to receive study counselling and vocational orientation. The University should also, in accordance with the Ordinance make sure that students intending to begin a course have access to the information about the course which is deemed necessary.

Student counsellors at Halmstad University are centrally placed in the Student Centre, building Q. They are responsible for making sure that study and careers advice is available for the University's students and for those intending to begin study. There is also a responsibility towards students in need of special support. Study counsellors have responsibility divided on the basis of the University's schools for the degree programmes and subjects with responsibility for subject-specific counselling and information to students and others interested in cooperation through the directors of degree programmes and single subject convenors.
