The Student Union
The Student Union exists as an organisation to achieve, through co-operation, things that would be impossible to accomplish for the individual student.
At the Student Union you will receive a Student ID-card in order for you to obtain entry to exams, to gain access to the computer halls, library, the student pub and the rest of the University buildings during evenings and weekends. It also gives you many advantages and discounts.
The Student Union works for all students, both members and non-members, but arrange special activities exclusively for members. To receive all special benefits you have to become a member of the Student Union. The membership fee for the upcoming semester is 340 SEK. The membership gives you access to the following:
The Student Union is there to influence, improve and safeguard the situation for the students at all levels.

Student Union membership

- UFO (university friendship organisation).
- Week of Welcome (orientation week for new students).
- Reduced entrance fees at the Student Union's pub and nightclub.
- Discounts at local stores and the University health club.
The Student Union also runs an Internet bookshop, which sells literature for a reasonable price: www.bokshopen.nu
