Najaden
The training ship Najaden, moored up against the Castle, is perhaps what is most associated with Halmstad. It is a small-scale, full-rigged ship from 1897. During the summer there are guided tours where visitors gain an interesting insight into our seafaring history. Halmstad Arena
Visit the newly inaugurated Halmstad Arena for sporting events, conferences, concerts and much more. The main hall holds up to 4,500 spectators. Beach life
The beach at Tylösand is located 8 km east of Halmstad, and is one of the most famous beaches in Sweden. Östra Stranden is located 5 km from the city centre, only 2 km from the University, and is the locals' first choice when going to the beach. As an alternative to a dip in the sea, you can visit Sannarpsbadet at Halmstad Arena, a water park with water chutes, bubble pools and swimming pools.
