Högskolan i Halmstad
Halmstad University - For the Development of Organisations, Products and Quality of Life

Time

Sweden, like most of Europe, has Central European time, Greenwich Mean Time +1. Summer time (daylight savings time) lasts from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. In Sweden, the abbreviations a.m. and p.m. are not used. Instead, time after noon is expressed 13.00 - 24.00.

Time is a very important concept in Sweden. Swedes are very conscious of time, and they place considerable value on punctuality. It is therefore important to be on time for appointments, meetings, classes or social engagements.

Remember that classes at Halmstad University often start a quarter past the schedule time.
