In Sweden a short time?

Students from EU- and EEA countries require residence permits, these can be applied for at one of the Migration Board offices in Sweden, but it is important that you do so within the first three months of your stay. You can also apply for a residence permit before you come to Sweden at a Swedish embassy or consulate in your home country. To obtain a residence permit you must provide documents assuring that you have been admitted to a course at the University and that you have financial support throughout your stay. Health insurance (form E 128)
You must also have a health insurance that is valid in Sweden, e.g. form E128. Form E128 can be obtained from the official health care authorities in your home country. When applying you must also present a valid identity card or passport. You must apply first
Keep in mind that you cannot apply for a residence permit until you have been admitted to a course or programme in Sweden. The application usually takes 6-8 weeks why it can prove a bit difficult getting the permit on time before departure. The application fee is SEK 1000 and is unfortunately not refundable. When you apply you must provide a valid passport, Letter of Admission from the University, proof of financial support throughout the duration of your stay and a valid health insurance.
