Printing system
Print-outs and copying within the student system
The University printing system has two separate types of printer, black-and-white and colour (colour only at the University library and at Campus Varberg). Both are 'combi' printers with the capability of printing A3/A4 in duplex, scanning and copying. Both types of printers have a small display where the user can type in id and password.
Through better control of the printing system, the University hopes to be able to increase the total number of double-page printouts and also reduce the amount of copying in general.
Printing
When doing printouts, choose at the printer dialogue: "Myprint_HH"
The appearance of the printer icon can vary between different programmes.
OH film
If you want to do printouts on OH film, please make sure that you use the right type of film (eg Folex X19). OH film intended for pens or inkjet printers seriously damages the printer; such film cannot withstand the high temperatures of the printing process and is liable to melt.
Payment
The charge for printing (A3 / A4 / colour etc) is made to the student's account which means that the payment is processed in advance.
The smallest payment is SEK 100. The payment is managed by Payex
. No extra costs are added for students. After closed payment the amount is available in the printing system. If you have no credit card you can make the payment at the University library. The prices are the same; however a basic charge of SEK 10 will be made. The smallest payment is also SEK 100.
If you have money from the old printing system, you don't have to register a Payex account until you run out.
Repayments
Repayments can be made free of charge to another Payex account.
Repayment to a bank account can be made, but will be charged.
When changing the printing systems the amounts deposited to the old printing accounts will be transferred to the new accounts. These cannot be repayed.

The charge, which is in force for both copying and printing, does not result in any profit for the University.
Fault notification
Notification of faults can be made via the helpdesk
self service. Choose 'Printer fault' or 'Out of Toner'.
