We offer education within our three main areas computer engineering, electrical engineering and informatics. The school is a research intensive division and the research is done within Halmstad Embedded and Intelligent Systems Research environment (EIS)

GOOD NEWS!

Vetenskapsrådet, The research council, has granted funding for 2 projects:
"Scale, orientation and illumination invariant information encoding and decoding - A study on invariant visual codes". Application by professor Josef Bigun. MSEK 2.460 over 3 years
and
"Nanowire-based focal plane arrays for IR imaging". Application by professor Håkan Pettersson.  MSEK 2.850 over 3 years.

National Science Foundation i USA has granted Professor Walid Taha funding for a project  "Accelerating robotic innovation" which will be pursued together with Rice University and Texas A&M University in Texas. The granted amount is USD 1.8 million over 4 years.

The School of Information science, Computer and Electrical engineering is organized in 4 labs,
  • CC-lab (Computing and Communication lab)
  • IS-lab (Intelligent Systems lab)
  • MI-lab (Man and Information technology lab)
  • MPE-lab (Mathematics, Physics and Electrical engineering lab)
The research done within these labs founds Halmstad Embedded and Intelligent Systems research environment - EIS.

We offer degree programmes and single subject courses, up to a master's level, within the main areas.
