About the School of Information Technology

We are the most research intensive school at Halmstad University.

Research areas: computer engineering, computer science, data communication, electrical engineering, image analysis, mechatronics, photonics, real time systems, signal analysis, physics, intelligent systems, mathematics and informatics.

About 100 employees are working at the school and a large number of the staff originates from other countries. At present 26 nationalities are represented.

The School of Information Technology is organised in four labs. Each lab is responsible for the co-ordination and development of the education and research within its subject fields.:

  • CC-lab  (Computing and Communication)
  • IS-lab (Intelligent Systems)
  • MI-lab (Man and Information technology)
  • MPE-lab (Mathematics, Physics and Electrical engineering)
