Internationalization

All doctoral students taking part in the research education are guaranteed a minimum level of international contacts. This means that all doctoral students shall be well informed about research within his/her field and shall have knowledge of the most recent research results within closely related areas. Halmstad University promotes internationalization by supporting the doctoral students' participation in international collaboration, spending time abroad and by inviting foreign guest researchers.

When part of the research education is spent at a foreign research institute the doctoral student retains his/her salary.

If leave of absence is granted no salary is paid.
