Course information

Course objective:


The course aims to provide a field-based description and analysis of electrical and magnetic phenomena.

Subjects:


Electrostatic interaction between single and distributed charges. The superposition principle.Time-independent currents. Magnetostatics.  Induction.  Maxwells equations and time-dependent fields.The Poynting vector. Electromagnetic waves.

Instruction and examination:


Instruction is organized into lectures and exercises. Written or oral examination.
