Upon completion of the course the student shall be able to:

  • define and present properties of Lie algebras, especially nilpotence, solvability, and semisimplicity
  • explain and discuss different Lie algebra representations
  • apply Lie algebras in computer algebra
  • present the structure theorem of algebras
  • apply Lie algebra in solution of differential equations

Language of instruction

Teaching is in English.

Prerequisites and conditions of admission
