Course information

Course objective:
The course aims to provide insight and skills in the mathematical modelling and description of a wide range of both time-dependent and steady-state physical phenomena.

Subjects:
Linear first and second order Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) describing diffusion, heat propagation, mechanical vibrations, and electromagnetic waves. Techniques for solving these equations.

Instruction and examination:


Instruction is organized into lectures and exercises. Grades are based on a written or oral examination.
