Project and paperwriting

Preliminary topic list

You are welcome to propose a project where you, for example, make a simpler simulator to simulate a network protocol and present the results in a project report. You must discuss your proposal with the teacher responsible for this part of the course and get it approved.

If not proposing a project idea, you shall instead write a research summary, where each group chooses a unique topic from the list below. The topic list will possibly be updated to adapt for the number of participants. Group allocation and date for each seminar will most likely be emailed to the participants. The papers listed below are not obviously the newest or most well-known ones in the respective areas, but are just to give examples of papers that can give a first insight into the field. You must always search for other material, for example the latest published material in the area, when you write a research overview. Most of the papers referred to below can be found on IEEE Xplore (see our library’s web page on “databaser”) or through other full-text databases available at the university.

Both projects and research summaries are presented on seminars in the last two weeks of the course.
