Course books


Generally the library purchase 2 iems of all course books, where one item is available for loan for 14 days and the other a reference item which must be read inside  the library. Read on about course books.

Printing and copying


The university has a joint centralized system for printing and copying. To use it you must first add funds to your student account. Read in about printing and copying.

Work from home


Students enrolled at Halmstad University can access our licensed resources (e-journals, e-books, databases) even off-campus. Read on about access to electronic resources from off-campus.

Our computers


Most of our computers are connected to the Internet and has MS Office installed. A few computers are restricted to searching the library catalogue only. Our computers cannot be booked. You logon with the account details privided by the university. A few computers (20 inch silver IMAC:s) can be access without logging in.

Use your own computer


Enrolled students at Halmstad University can access the wireless local area network (WLAN). Read on about accessing the WLAN.

Technical support


Between 10 am and 2 pm the counter for technical support is open. Here you can get help on everything from copying to setting up your computer for accessing the WLAN.

Borrow and order


In order to borrow material you need a library card. Everyone over 18 years old with a legitimate ID can get a library card after visiting the library.

Informationseeking


Monday through friday between 9 am to 6 pm and saturdays between 10 am to 2 pm the information desk is manned by a librarian who can answer alternatively help you with questions about how and where to find different kinds of material, such as: books, e-books, articles etc. There are also other ways to get help. Publish your thesis


All published student thesis from 2006 and onwards shall be registrered in fulltext in the university´s publications database, DiVA. Read on about registering your student thesis.
