Research
My main research interests involve young people´s media use, media and ethnicity and media literacy among pupils and teachers. I am for the moment working with the following projects: ‘Media practices in the new country´, ´Mediated childhoods in multicultural families in Greece´, ‘Media literacy from an educational perspective´, ‘Internet appropriation among college students´ and 'Organized producers of young net cultures'. In my research I have been using several methodological approaches, such as surveys, interviews, drawings, diaries, observations and photo-taking.

My most recent publications include “It took time to understand Greek newspapers" — The media experience of Swedish women in Greece (Communications: The European Journal of Communication Research, 2006), Identität, kulturelle Veränderungen und das Generationsverhältnis (in Medien und Migration.
