Postgraduate Studies

Halmstad University is to conduct postgraduate studies in several areas. Since 2010, the University has the right to award doctorates in two different areas: Information Technology and Innovation Science. In other areas, postgraduate studies are conducted with support of strategic collaboration agreements with other colleges and universities. During 2011 the first postgraduate students were admitted at Halmstad University.

Postgraduate studies in the field of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Within the field of Information Technology, the University is planning to initially organise postgraduate studies in two subjects: Computer Science and Engineering and Signals and Systems Engineering. The idea is that the postgraduate studies will gradually expand to other subjects within the research environment. Postgraduate studies in this field are led by the research environment EIS. Postgraduate studies in the field of INNOVATION SCIENCE

Postgraduate studies in this field involve the study of how internal and external conditions affect innovation processes and how ideas succeed in the market, that is to say, become innovations. Postgraduate studies in this field are led by the research environment CIEL. Read more.
 

The field of HEALTH and LIFESTYLE

The University also has plans to submit an application in a third area, Health and Lifestyle. In this field, research is conducted from a multidisciplinary perspective on the factors that affect and are affected by health and illness, both on the individual and community levels. The application is coordinated by the research environment CVHI.
