The University conducts postgraduate studies in several areas. Halmstad University has the right to award doctorates in three different areas: Information Technology, Innovation Sciences, Health and Lifestyle. In other areas, postgraduate studies are conducted with support of strategic collaboration agreements with other colleges and universities.
Within the field of Information Technology, the University has initially organised postgraduate studies in two subjects: Computer Science and Engineering and Signals and Systems Engineering. The postgraduate studies in the field will gradually expand to other subjects within the research environment. Postgraduate studies in this field are led by the research environment EIS. Postgraduate studies in this field involve the study of how internal and external conditions affect innovation processes and how ideas succeed in the market, that is to say, become innovations.
