Towards recommendations for design, operation and monitoring of constructed wetlands for treatment of effluents from Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) in the Baltic region (WETEFF)

The WETEFF project was a one-year seed project financed by the Swedish Institute. The project leader was Sylvia Waara at the Wetland Research Centre, Halmstad University, Sweden. The project ran from March 2013 to February 2014. Contact: sylvia.waara@hh.se

Other participants from the Wetland Research Centre were; Anna Hansson, Stefan Weisner, Per Magnus Ehde and Göran Sahlén.

This project was granted for knowledge exchange and capacity building in the Baltic region. The project had two aims; develop and apply for joint research projects in the field of study and to develop guidelines for best praxis on the design, operation and monitoring of constructed wetlands in the Baltic region.
