Towards recommendations for design, operation and monitoring of constructed wetlands for treatment of effluents from Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) in the Baltic region (WETEFF)

The WETEFF project is a one-year seed project financed by the Swedish Institute. The project leader is Sylvia Waara at the Wetland Research Centre, Halmstad University, Sweden. The project runs from the 1st of March 2013 to the 28th of February 2014. Contact: sylvia.waara@hh.se

Other participants from the Wetland Research Centre are; Anna Hansson, Stefan Weisner, Per Magnus Ehde and Göran Sahlén.

This project has been granted for knowledge exchange and capacity building in the Baltic region. The project has two aims; develop and apply for joint research projects in the field of study and to develop guidelines for best praxis on the design, operation and monitoring of constructed wetlands in the Baltic region. During the project 3 workshops will be arranged and a guiding document will be developed.
