External Relations

School of Information Technology collaborates with the society in order to strenghten the relevance and quality in both reserach and education.

ECH - Electronics Centre in Halmstad is a venue with well-developed laboratory environments for innovation, education and research in the field of electronics. Created by Halmstad University in collaboration with regional companies.

HCH - Centre for Health Technology Halland (in Swedish)external link is a meeting place for businesses, consumers, the municipalities of Halland County, the County Council of Halland and Halmstad University and provides a joint platform for the pursuit of development in the area of health technology.

 

Halmstad Intelligent Home (HINT)

Hint provides researchers, students, and industry a technology-equipped, realistic home environment. The apartment makes possible, among other things, experiments and studies related to monitoring and assistance in smart and intelligent environments and social robots. Communication about and discussions around a smart home are facilitated by HINT, and the goal is to create a strong collaboration between researchers and the community.

HINT is funded by Halmstad Embedded and Intelligent Systems research. The Centre for Health Technology, Halland (HCH) is also involved in the development of HINT.

 

Networks and collaboration

Cisco Networking Academy is a collaboration between Cisco Systems and universities and schools.

ELLIIT is a strategic research environment (SFO) funded by the Swedish government. ELLIIT is placed in Linköping, Lund, Halmstad och Blekinge.

Science Safari is a bus full of experiments to inspire children regarding technology and science. The bus is part of a non-governmental organisation were several of the Schools teachers are engaged.
