The School of Information Technology collaborates with society in order to strengthen the relevance and quality in both research and education.
HCH – Centre for Health Technology Halland (in Swedish) is a meeting place for businesses, consumers, the municipalities of Halland County, the County Council of Halland and Halmstad University and provides a joint platform for the pursuit of development in the area of health technology.
Halmstad intelligent home, HINT, provides researchers, students, and industry a technology-equipped, realistic home environment for experiments and studies related to monitoring and assistance in smart and intelligent environments and social robots. One of the goals is to create a strong collaboration between researchers and the community. (HINT web page in Swedish.)
Science Safari is a bus full with exeperiments to spread knowledge and inpiration to children about science. The non-profit organisation Science Safari, where many of the teachers from the School of Information Technology are active, are organising the bus and it's experiments.
