Health Technology Centre Halland (HCH) brings together knowledge and competence from Halmstad University, Region Halland, the municipalities in Halland and private companies. The aim is to be a collaboration arena that enables new health innovations. Recently, HCH has been strengthened with additional EU funding, which is a clear result of the ongoing and unique development of future healthcare in Halland.
Health Technology Centre Halland (HCH) has received a new three-year project from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), funded with SEK 30 million. The project is called ”Test Environment Halland – the Future Healthcare Based in a Smart Home”. The goal is to build an efficient test environment for products, solutions and services that can provide support and security at home.
– Being granted this new EU project is an important acknowledgment that our strategy for developing future healthcare is successful. We can now continue to contribute and develop competitive products and services for public and private care at home, with the individual in focus, says Josefine Henriksson, Deputy Operations Manager at HCH.
In addition to this, HCH has been granted a project within the EU program Interreg, together with Aarhus municipality in Denmark, with a funding of SEK 1.6 million. The project is called CareWare Nordic and aims to create meeting places for businesses and healthcare professionals to strengthen innovation possibilities, both in Halland and in Denmark.
