If you are an employee or a student at Halmstad University, you can nominate one or more candidates, for both the Teaching and Learning Prize and the Prize for Collaboration and Innovation. Both awards will be presented during the Academic Ceremony on November 16, 2018.
The Teaching and Learning Prize is announced by Halmstad University, and is awarded to a teacher who has been particularly successful when it comes to developing the students’ learning.
Through this award, the Board wants to:
A task force consisting of qualified/excellent teachers has the task of drawing up proposals for prize winners. The group also includes an external person, knowledgeable in teaching and learning in higher education. The Pro-Vice Chancellor appoints the winners of the Teaching and Learning Prize according to the working group’s preparation.

Halmstad University awards the Prize for Collaboration and Innovation. You can nominate a person, or a group of persons, who is exceptionally successful in collaborating with society and industry. The prize consists of a SEK 10,000 scholarship each, to be used for purposes connected to collaboration and innovation.
Halmstad University has always had a strong profile regarding collaboration with both society and industry. The Prize for Collaboration and Innovation is aimed at strengthening the University’s profile as a collaborative and innovative academy. The prize is awarded annually to highlight success and achievements made through collaboration in strengthening the benefits to society in Halmstad University’s education and research. Student contribution is an especially motivating component.
Both administrative as well as academic staff at the University can be nominated. The winner will be chosen by a collaboration and innovation council which consists of representatives from all the different academies, and led by the Vice Chancellor.
