Admissions for Autumn Courses and Programmes Completed

This autumn, a total of 5777 persons have been admitted to the University's educational programmes. This is slightly fewer than last year when 5929 people were admitted to the University.

"This is due to the fact that many courses are not offered this year which obviously affects the numbers," says Brita Lundh, Director of Student Affairs at HalmstadUniversity.

Fewer candidates

The interest for autumn courses offered at Halmstad University has been good, according to Brita Lundh, even though there are fewer applicants than last year. A total of 18,702 people applied for autumn courses and programmes. This is down 12 percent from last year's record level, when 21,370 people applied.

The main reason for the reduced number of applicants this year, according to Brita Lundh, is that the University offers fewer options and alternatives.
The most popular programmes are Bachelor of Science in Nursing, 2331 applicants, Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics, 828 applicants and Master of Science in Business and Economics, 1882 applicants.
The most popular courses are Business and Entrepreneurship, 621 applicants, Leadership (distance learning course), 534 applicants, and Business English 1, with 561 applicants.
