Work from home
As en employee of Halmstad University you can get access to our subscribed electronic resources (e-journals, e-books, databases) even off-campus. Read more about access from off-campus.
Borrow and order
In order to borrow material you need a library card. Anyone with a valid ID over the age of eighteen can obtain one after visiting the library.
Information seeking
Monday through Friday between 9 am and 4 pm the information desk is manned by a librarian who can answer alternatively help you with questions about how and where to find different kinds of material, such as: books, e-books, articles etc. There are also other ways to get help. A few are listed below:
Create permanent links in your list of literature
Create a link to an electronic article or book in your list of literature and make sure your students can access it both on and off campus. Read more about creating permanent links.
Reference manegement system
There are different programs, such as EndNote and Zotero, which help you collect, sort and generate references formatted according to different styles. Read more about reference management software.
Publish your research
According to a decision by the Vice-Chancellor of the University it's obligatory for all researchers to submit their publications in DiVA, the University's publication database. Read more about publishing your research (Swedish only).
