Personlig bakgrund
Sedan 2007 är jag anställd vid Högskolan i Halmstad, men jag har arbetat som lärarutbildare sedan 1992. Innan jag kom till Halmstad arbetade jag vid Mitthögskolan/ Mittuniversitetet.
Forskning
Jag disputerade 2003 i Lärande vid Luleå tekniska universitet med en avhandling med titeln: Interkulturellt lärande — Intentioner och realiteter i svensk grundskola sedan 1960-talets början
.
Min nuvarande forskning är inriktad mot interkulturellt lärande, läsning och demokratiska skolor i Sverige och USA.
