The Heath Data Centre (HDC) facilitates a technical data platform and infrastructure to retrieve, store and analyse health data in a safe environment.

The data platform and infrastructure enable research and development projects within HDC:
- Data modeling

- AI/ML predictive models
- Synthetic data set generation
- Privacy preserving distributed analytics (federated learning)

Software compliance
The platform used, SHAARPEC, is developed by Hallandia V. The software meets the legal, ethical and professional standards applicable, for example the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), patientdatalagen (PDL) and ISO 27001 Information Security Management. The platform requirements:
- Access control
- Logging
- Backups
- Vulnerability management
- Intrusion detection
- Network security
- Capacity management
- Cryptography
The requirements are valid for all levels of the software. For example, the access control includes both physical access to machines and remote access to infrastructure, platform and application.
