Electrical Distribution Systems for Renewable Energy
The course sheds light on the structure and components of the electric power system, and how the parts work together to create a stable electricity supply. Dimensioning of various components, such as cables and short-circuit protection, is affected. Asymmetric loads and defects, stability at different time scales are addressed as well as how different types of power generation affects this. In particular, the effects of a large proportion of renewable energy production, and the necessary measures to deal with this, are affected.
