IT-project

15 credits

The goal of the course is to provide extended knowledge relating to system developmental projects and skills in planning and carrying out an IT-development project in collaboration with an external partner. The students work in project groups and are responsible for selecting and argue for appropriate development models, methods and techniques. Within the project a prototype is developed, all work is documented in a written report.

After finishing course, the student shall be able to:

  • plan and carry out a minor system development project
  • state the complexity and the most common problems typical for a minor system development project as well as being able to solve these problems
  • explain and argue for choices made within the project, such as models, methods and techniques as well as being able to discuss the impact of these choices and how they affected the project result
  • plan and perform an evaluation of the prototype and relate/compare the results to the requirements
