Perspectives on Data Science

The purpose of the course is that the student should acquire an overview of the data science area, and how products and services in this area affects society with respect to ecology (environment), ethics and economy. In addition, the student shall develop skills in different types of collaboration forms and strategies for effective communication related to data science.

Entry requirements:

Degree of Bachelor of Science in an engineering subject or Degree of Bachelor of Science in Engineering. The degree must be equivalent to a Swedish kandidatexamen or Swedish högskoleingenjörsexamen and must have been awarded from an internationally recognised university. Courses in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering of at least 90 credits, including thesis. Courses in mathematics of at least 30 credits or courses including calculus, linear algebra and transform methods. English 6. Exemption of the requirement in Swedish is granted.
