Wireless Embedded Systems

The aim is for students to assimilate knowledge of design and modern building methods for current and future high-frequency electrical circuits and systems with a focus on contemporary built-in integrated electronics.

The course is included in the main field of the Master's Programme in Electronics Design.

Some of the course content: limitations of high-frequency circuits and systems, applications of high-frequency systems, basic calculations and simulations of high-frequency circuits and systems, and different aspects of sustainable development.

The course deals with RLC circuits, transmission line, Smith chart, high frequency amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, detectors, noise, phase noise, interference, LNA, architectures and systems.

Advanced modeling with modern tools. Different construction methods from surface mounting to 3D printing. Implementation of nanodevices and sensors. Wireless radio communication. Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
