Research and Applied Work in Sport and Exercise Psychology
This course package combines practical and theoretical studies within the sports psychology field. During the first semester, you will work with athletes in their relevant context, learning how to work with intervention strategies in sports psychology. The second semester focuses on thesis work within your own chosen area of sport and exercise psychology.
The courses are based on knowledge of theory-driven practice, ethically correct norms and basic techniques in communication, intervention, and methodology. The course includes applied course elements, seminars and workshops. During the course you will take part of the newest research within sport and exercise psychology while other parts consist of guest lecturers from the sports area. The course also aims to prepare for a future professional career in the field by preparing students to be able to initiate, implement and evaluate a counseling situation.

- PS8005 Applied Work in Sport Psychology I 15 hp (autumn semester)
- PS8006 Applied Work in Sport Psychology II 15 hp (spring semester)
- PS8007 Psychology - Scientific Method 15 hp (autumn semester)
- PS8008 Thesis in Psychology 15 hp (spring semester)

Entry requirements:
Bachelor in Psychology (equivalent of 180 Swedish credit points / ECTS credits at an accredited university). Applicants must have written and verbal command of the English language equivalent to English course 6 in Swedish Upper-Secondary School.
