“The courses are based on a study of the needs and effects of the Covid-19 pandemic in business and industry. The survey was conducted with the University’s alumni and business partners, as well as with support from Region Halland, the TRR Foundation, and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. The courses are within Halmstad University’s strong educational and research areas Information Technology and Innovation Sciences, especially artificial intelligence (AI) and business development”, says Thorsteinn Rögnvaldsson, Professor and Programme director of the University’s Knowledge and Competence Center Research for Innovation.

Online courses

All courses are online and in English. They are advanced level courses and the entry requirement is an undergraduate degree in technology, business or the equivalent. The pace of study is set at half speed, but the courses are flexible so that you can follow them at your own pace. Participants can choose to take the entire course package, single courses or separate modules within a course – you should be able to study parallel to working.

Even those who do not have formal qualifications can apply for the courses and have their prior learning validated.

Free of charge for the participants

The courses are included in the range of courses offered by Halmstad University and qualify for credits. They are free of charge for the participants.

Halmstad University receives SEK 5.8 million from the Knowledge Foundation to develop and provide a total of nine courses several times over the coming 18 months.
