The Covid-19 pandemic has speeded up Halmstad University’s planned investment in professional development for business and industry. Already this summer, courses will start based on needs and requests from business and industry, thanks to a contribution from the Knowledge Foundation with the aim of strengthening Swedish business and industry.

“The courses are based on a study of the needs and effects of the Covid-19 pandemic in business and industry. The survey was conducted with the University’s alumni and business partners, as well as with support from Region Halland, the TRR Foundation, and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. The courses are within Halmstad University’s strong educational and research areas Information Technology and Innovation Sciences, especially artificial intelligence (AI) and business development”, says Thorsteinn Rögnvaldsson, Professor and Programme director of the University’s Knowledge and Competence Center Research for Innovation.

Even those who do not have formal qualifications can apply for the courses and have their prior learning validated.
Free of charge for the participants
The courses are included in the range of courses offered by Halmstad University and qualify for credits. They are free of charge for the participants.
