Two new Deans at Halmstad University

Catherine Legrand will become the new Dean for the School of Business, Innovation and Sustainability, and Måns Svensson will become the new Dean for the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Måns Svensson, the new Dean for the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Associate Professor of Sociology of Law, is at present employed at the Sociology of Law Department, Lund University, where he for example has the role of Director of Research Studies.

“I am very much looking forward to this. When reading the announcement, I realised right away that it is a dream challenge for me. I am looking forward to starting this job and really get to know the people and the University activities. I think we will achieve exciting and good things together”, says Måns Svensson.

Catherine Legrand, the new Dean for the School of Business, Innovation and Sustainability, is at present employed at the Department of Biology and Environmental Science, Linnaeus University. She has, among other things, been the Pro Vice-Chancellor at the University.

“Halmstad University is an exciting university and I am very much attracted by the focus on society, innovation and creativity that exists here. I am looking forward to, together with staff, students and management, continue to develop high quality education and research”, says Catherine Legrand.

Both Catherine Legrand and Måns Svensson take office preliminary on January 1, 2021.
