The University Library and Halmstad Student Union are organising a Christmas and New Year-themed clothing swap day. During the day, mulled wine and palm oil-free gingerbread cookies will be served.
The aim of the clothes swap day is to promote sustainable consumption and circular fashion – a simple way to celebrate Christmas and New Year with consideration for both style and the environment.
How the clothing swap works
- Bring a couple of whole and clean items of clothing in good condition (clothing only – no shoes, bags or accessories).
- The items will be checked upon submission. For each approved item, you will receive a ticket that you can exchange for a new item.
- The receipt serves as currency for exchanges during the afternoon.
- Participation is free of charge.
- Clothes that are not chosen during the day will be donated to a local second-hand shop or organisation – they will not be returned.
- Maximum of three items of clothing per person.
- Clothes must be washed and free from stains and holes.
- A fitting area with a curtain and mirror is available on site.
- Clothes rails and hangers are divided by category (women's, men's, unisex) and size.
- Items that are not approved upon submission will be returned immediately.
