Students meet for board games and company

There are regularly activities and events organised for students where you can have fun together with other students. BOARDGAMESandFOOD, where you can meet other students and play boardgames, is a recurring activity during both the spring and autumn semesters.

To many, social activities outside of school are an important part of their daily life. One of the University’s events for students is BOARDGAMESandFOOD, which is organised in a collaboration between the Student Healthcare Centre and Café Mangold.

During Tuesday afternoons students meet at the café in the S building to play games, hang out and enjoy a meal at a discount price. At one of the spring semester’s events, the student Eek De Bruijckere participated.

“I’ve been here a few times and think it’s a lot of fun. I enjoy playing board games with friends”, he explains.

“This is my first time here, I came to meet new people”, another student in the same group of friends says while the others are fully focused on the game that they are playing.

The last BOARDGAMESandFOOD of the spring

On April 26, the last event of the spring takes place and it has a special programme. You are invited to a closing outside of the S building where you can challenge both new and old friends in different activities and competitions – anything from hitting tin cans to the wheel of fortune. During the closing there will be hotdogs and drinks.

“Take the opportunity to join the spring closing. There will be great activities and nice prices”, say the students Hugo Jönsson and Jakob Wallman, who are both an active part of BOARDGAMESandFOOD.
