The 4th CAISR Health Annual Meeting
When: 6–7 March
Where: Halmstad University
The members of CAISR Health are invited to the 4th annual meeting.
Health Economy Seminar 1: Calculations in the Swedish Health Care system – CPP vs PEC
When: 20 March, 10.30–12.00
Where: Zoom (see link below)
The seminar is led by Torkel Strömsten, Associate Professor at the Stockholm School of Economics. During the seminar we will discuss:
- Differences between Cost Per Patient (CPP, or in Swedish KPP) and Patient Encounter Costing (PEC).
- CPP and Underlying assumptions and instructions in the CPP calculation that make comparisons between regions hard.
- PEC – origins and how control needs to change in health organisations to make it work as intended.
The seminar includes three main blocks:
- 20-minute presentation
- 20-minute workshop in smaller groups
- 20-minute discussion
No prior registration is required for this seminar.

Health Economy Seminar 2: Precision medicine and healthcare
When: 24 April, 10.30–12.00

The seminar is led by Torkel Strömsten, Associate Professor at the Stockholm School of Economics. During the seminar we will discuss:
- Background of precision medicine and healthcare
- How the present control systems (often) are unfit to motivate the benefits of precision medicine
- What needs to be done to reap the benefits from precision medicine?
The seminar includes three main blocks:

- 20-minute discussion

Vitalis – the largest eHealth conference in Scandinavia
When: 19–22 May
Where: The Swedish Exhibition & Conference Centre, Gothenburg, Sweden
Vitalis is a meeting point for everyone working strategically or operatively with business development and eHealth issues within healthcare and welfare. CAISR Health will take part in the conference – more information to come.

Health Economy Seminar 3: Organisational consequences of digitalisation
When: 17 June
Where: Fullriggaren, Halland Hospital
The seminar is led by Torkel Strömsten, Associate Professor at the Stockholm School of Economics, and co-organised by Region Halland and the implementation seminar series. During the seminar we will discuss:
- How public sector and health care is organised
- Digitalisation (or digital fusion of information systems) and what it means to different professions
- How can the new information landscape influence how organisations within the public sector and health care are organised?
