Guest speaker event - Business Culture & ethical issues in business

Students of the Business Culture course at the School of Business, Innovation and Sustainability would like to welcome you to this guest speaker event.

The event has been organised as part of a course called Business Culture II. We hope that many more students at Halmstad University benefit from the event.

Associate Lecturer Abtin Rezaeenia at the School of Business, Innovation, and Sustainability has invited Miss Sara Lonegard the co-founder of Distribute Aid to share her knowledge and experience with students studying business and management.

The event will take place on 07 December 2023 on Zoom and will start at 13:15 and will end by 4pm.

About the guest speaker Sara Lonegard

Sara founded Distribute Aid immediately after getting her degree in international relations and politics. In 2020 Sara was awarded the United Nations prize for "Most Direct Human Impact", recognising the real-world impact of the ICT solution that Distribute Aid is building. She has appeared as a guest speaker at universities such as Oxford, Duke, and Lund to share her experience as an entrepreneur and innovator in the humanitarian field. Sara also works as a consultant for Save the Children UK and has previously worked with Scholars at Risk and the Middle East Policy Council in Washington DC. She has an MA in International Relations and an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics.
During her time as director of Distribute Aid, Sara also co-founded the Refuges Care project and the Aid Hub UK. The Refugees Care project enabled women living in the Moria refugee camp to make reusable cloth masks for themselves and their community to protect them from COVID-19 when governments underserved refugee camps despite a vast need for PPE.
