Engagement points

If you get involved in student organisations during your studies – for example, in the Student Union, a programme or student association, or as a student ambassador – you can earn engagement points (EG points) for certain tasks you carry out.

As a student at the University, there are many ways to get involved in student organisations and gain valuable experience for the future. Certain roles within student organisations earn you engagement points, known as EG points (previously called VG points), and if you have been involved, you can apply for a certificate of engagement that lists the roles you have held.

This earns you engagement points

You can earn EG points for roles within most programme and student societies, but also for roles within Halmstad Student Union and as a student ambassador for the University, for example.

Some examples of roles that earn EG points include roles in the freshers’ week, board roles in an association, working as a student ambassador at various events, and certain types of mentoring for other students.
