Student to student
Between 14.00 and 17.00, you will find student assistants at the information desk in the library who will be happy to answer any library, IT or language-related questions.
Student to student hours
The hours apply to weekdays during the semester.
Monday–Friday: 14.00–17.00
What you can ask
You can ask the students many different kinds of questions, for example:
Library questions
- How do I re-borrow or reserve a book?
- How do I access e-books or articles online?
- Which of the library’s guides are suitable to support me in searching for scientific material?
IT questions
- How do I download the essay template into Word?
- How do I print?
- What programmes are available for students to download? ¨
Questions about academic reading and writing
- I have difficulty reading academic texts, are there any strategies to try?
- I need to improve the language and structure of my texts. Do you have any tips?
- It is difficult to know how to take notes during a lecture. How do I get started?
If you do not get an answer to your question, the student workers can help you get in touch with the relevant support function at the University.

The students who will help you
You will meet student assistants who have been students for a while and are studying different programmes and courses. Most of them are also comfortable answering your question in English.
Maja Knutsson, student assistant

Which programme are you studying and which year?
“Biomedicine – Exercise Physiology, second year.”
How long have you been a part of Student to Student?
“I started in January 2025, so after the first semester.”
What can you help other students with?
“We can help you find course literature and search for articles. To a certain extent, we also help you read through parts of your work and provide feedback, but we mainly offer general study tips and can answer all kinds of questions. We also help new students find their way around campus.”
What are your best study tips?
“Above all, keep up with the lectures, take notes and then go through your notes afterwards. Then you can sit down with a group or a friend and discuss them. I think that helps a lot.”
What is the best tip for a new student?
“Dare to ask questions! It’s not easy being new, and you can feel a little nervous. We've all been new at some point.”
“Don’t stress yourself out at the beginning. Lectures can seem overwhelming at first, but it gets better with time.”
Zoe Bejmo, student assistant

Which programme are you studying and which year?
“I am studying the Master’s Programme in Health and Lifestyle, first year.”
How long have you been with Student to student?
“I’ve been a part of Student to student since September 2025.”
What can you help other students with?
“As a student employee, I am often the first support when my studies feel a bit messy. I help other students get started with information searching, find scientific articles, understand references and use the library's resources in a smart way. It can also be about study techniques, practical issues such as printouts and logins, or just sorting out what you really need help with. My goal is to lower the threshold to the library and make it easier, safer and a little less stressful to study.”
What are your best study tips?
“I like to take physical notes by hand on paper because it helps me to review information from lectures and course literature. I usually like to go through my notes after each week to review and make sure that the knowledge sticks. What has also worked well for me is discussing various study questions with other students.”
What is your best tip for a new student?
“As a new student, it is very beneficial to explore what resources the library and University actually have to be able to get started with studies a little easier and know what help and support is available.”
