20 August–29 August: Fresher’s week
For exchange students and international students
All new students are invited to a few days of social activities, organised by the Student Union. During the Fresher’s week, you will get to know other Swedish and international students as well as campus and the city of Halmstad, as you take part in games and challenges together with other new students. This is a great way for you to start making friends and build a social network that will enchance your study time at Halmstad University!

31 August: Introduction day for new students!
31 August is the official introduction day for all new students.
In your schedule, you will get an invitation to Kickstart Live at Halmstads Teater, an informative and inspiring welcome lecture about starting your studies at Halmstad University. Before the session, you are welcome to visit the lounge area outside of the theatre, to explore more of the city of Halmstad. After the session, you will also have the opportunity to join an extra session about getting settled in Sweden, where current international students share their experiences.
