Register as exchange student

On this page you can find instructions on how to start your registration process as an exchange student starting a course or programme at Halmstad University. In order to start your studies, you need to create a student account and register for your course(s).

Registration needed to start your studies

Registration open from 6 January–14 January

You need to create a student account and register for your course(s). Instructions on how to start the registration process are available here during the registration period.

Apply for activation code

Applying for an activation code is the first step of the registration process. After submitting the form below, the Student Affairs Department will process the information. You will receive an activation code and instructions on how to proceed by email, in a few days.

Please check your Notification of Selection Results, you can find the Personal identity number (Student ID number) in the left corner (example 19220101-T123).

Terms and conditions

I accept the terms and conditions for registration as follows: By accepting the terms and conditions of the registration you accept your place at the programme/course you are admitted to and you become an enrolled student at Halmstad University. If you are a tuition-fee paying student, registering means that you are no longer entitled to apply for a refund of your tuition fee.

Late arrival

If you cannot start your studies on time, you need to inform the Student Affairs Department via email, as late arrivals need to be granted.
