Letter for residence permit extension
If you are unable to finish your studies on time and need support with applying for residence permit extension, you may request a letter (certificate) from your programme director or supervisor by sending them an email.
Please note that you are not guaranteed a certificate. A decision will be made based on the individual assessment. Please make sure to apply well in time.
This extention can only be requested by students in the final semester of their studies at Halmstad University or have other special circumstances. Please be aware that only one extension letter will be issued per student. Exceptions may be considered in special circumstances, such as documented illness.
The Swedish Migration Agency is solely responsible for the decision on extensions.
