Stena Recycling
In 2019, Stena Recycling initiated a long-term collaboration with Halmstad University. The collaboration aims to strengthen both the attractiveness of the University and Stena Recycling’s competitiveness. The collaboration creates synergies between education, research and innovation, where Stena Recycling gains access to the knowledge of students and researchers and the University establishes long-term contact with Sweden’s leading recycling companies. The collaboration is also important with regard to the company’s largest facility, Stena Nordic Recycling Centre, which is located in Halmstad.
Part of the collaboration is the circular economy scholarship that Stena Recycling awards annually. The scholarship is awarded annually to students in all programmes at Halmstad University.
The circular economy is gaining new ground every day and creating new opportunities. With this scholarship, Stena Recycling wants to focus on ideas, models and solutions that take a circular perspective and make a concrete contribution to the circular transition, for example in design, urban planning, health, mobility, system and technology solutions, collaboration or business models.
- The scholarship amount is SEK 20,000.
If you have questions about the scholarship, please contact Kristian Widén, Leader of the Focus area Smart Cities and Communities.
