Introduction to Organization

The course covers central concepts and perspectives in organization theory and provides a basic understanding of organizations and how they function. The course addresses the development of organization theory as well as different theoretical perspectives and their ideological foundations. Furthermore, the complexity of organizations and factors influencing them are examined, such as the actions of actors, relations with the external environment, organizational culture, and internal power relations. The course also addresses diversity and ethical aspects of working life and introduces basic approaches to organizational analysis.
