Doctoral Forum 2026
Welcome to the very first joint Halmstad University Doctoral Forum for all of our doctoral students, on the theme: How can we co‑create a thriving doctoral study environment?
About Doctoral Forum 2026
- Date: 22 October 2026
- Time: 09.30–16.00 (free lunch and dinner included)
- Location will be announced later
- We will end the day with complementary food and fun!
The questions at the heart of this gathering are not ones that can be answered from the outside: they live in your experiences, your perspectives and your everyday realities as doctoral students.
How can we, together, create a stimulating and supportive doctoral environment? What kind of culture do we want to foster? How do we want to work with one another, develop our competencies together, and support each other’s growth and well-being?
All doctoral students at Halmstad University are invited to share their perspectives, experiences and ideas, as well as their challenges, needs and opportunities with each other and with invited representatives from university management. Together, we will co-create practical ideas and insights to help build a more engaging, inclusive, and thriving doctoral community.
Join us in an open, collaborative dialogue where your perspective is the starting point, and the driving force, behind meaningful change.
Open Space
Open Space is a meeting format in which participants create and manage their own agenda around topics they care about. It draws on the commitment, innovative thinking and knowledge within the group. It enables everyone to speak on equal terms and to discuss the topics and issues that engage them most. Open Space is based on participants’ own knowledge, dialogue and personal responsibility.
The meeting will be facilitated by consultant Pernilla Luttropp.
