Audit of University administrative support
Halmstad University continuously works to enhance quality across all areas of its operations, including education and research, as well as University Administrative Support, which provides service and support to students and staff.
University Administrative Support is regularly reviewed through both external audits and the University’s own evaluations (audits). The purpose of these audits is to identify strengths, areas for improvement, and good practices that can contribute to the continued development of the University’s operations.
External audits are conducted by supervisory authorities such as the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ), the Swedish National Audit Office, the Chancellor of Justice (JK), the Parliamentary Ombudsmen (JO), the Swedish Work Environment Authority, the Equality Ombudsman (DO), the National Archives of Sweden, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, and the Swedish Civil Defence and Resilience Agency.
As a complement to external audits, the University conducts its own evaluations (audits) of selected areas and processes. The audits are carried out by a review panel comprising external experts and representatives of the University and its students. The audit is based on documentation provided by the area under review and includes discussions with relevant staff. The results are compiled in a report containing assessments, recommendations, and examples of successful practices.
Through these audits, the University gains valuable perspectives that support its long-term work on quality enhancement and development.
