Follow-up of research
Halmstad University conducts an annual follow-up of its research to ensure high quality and provide a basis for continued development. The follow-up is an important part of the University’s quality assurance work and helps identify strengths, areas for development and needs for improvement.
The follow-up is based on analyses of, among other things, the scope of research activities, scientific publications, research funding and doctoral education. This information is complemented by dialogue between University management and the Schools where the research is conducted.
By combining statistics, analyses and dialogue, the University gains an overall picture of how its research is developing. The results are used to plan development initiatives and may also provide a basis for more in-depth evaluations in specific areas. In this way, the follow-up contributes to strengthening the quality and relevance of the University’s research over time.
