Follow-up of University administrative support
Halmstad University conducts an annual follow-up of University Administrative Support to support quality assurance and quality enhancement. The follow-up is an integral part of the University’s quality assurance system and aims to ensure that support services contribute effectively to the quality of education and research. Through systematic working methods, reflection and dialogue, a shared basis is created for learning, development and improvement.
How the follow-up is conducted
The follow-up of University Administrative Support follows a cyclical process in which planning, implementation, follow-up and improvement are interconnected.
Each department within University Administrative Support continuously documents shortcomings, deviations and suggestions for improvement in a digital logbook. Information is gathered from sources such as dialogue with target groups, surveys, internal reviews, supervisory authorities and the University’s own audits. This information is used to identify areas for development and to inform future planning.
Once a year, the departments within University Administrative Support carry out reflections and risk assessments in relevant areas and processes. The results are summarised in the department’s quality report, which forms the basis for priorities in the forthcoming operational plan. The plans are then followed up every four months in dialogue with the University Director.
Results and further development
The results of the quality assurance work are integrated into operational planning and management. The most important development initiatives are documented and followed up in the University’s shared planning and follow-up system, Hypergene, ensuring transparency and accessibility for staff, management and other relevant stakeholders.
Through the follow-up, the University obtains a comprehensive basis for governance, learning and improvement, while good practices and experiences are shared between departments and across the University’s education and research activities.
